Please find on the left a selection of our Iznik tile projects in Japan.

One of our Japan projects was the Friendship Monument in Shibuya, Tokyo. This was a monument of goodwill to Japan, and was officially installed on October 18th 2003. Further to “The Year of Turkey” in Japan, a 2 meter by 4 meter cylindrical monument containing handmade Iznik tiles was erected in front of Shibuya City Office. Encased in a concrete shell,  Iznik tiles on the interior depict tulip motifs, providing an emotional oasis from Tokyo’s bustling life. The monument was designed by prominent architect Han Tümertekin.
